Ocean Import Coordinator

Coordinate international ocean freight shipments from start to finish, stay in touch with customers and logistics partners worldwide, and keep every import moving according to plan. • You can expect a gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €4,000 based on a full-time position and depending on your experience.
• Each year, you'll receive 25 vacation days.
• Travel expenses are reimbursed at €0.23 per kilometre from the first kilometre, up to €250 per month.

In your role as Ocean Import Coordinator, you'll manage the entire ocean import process and make sure shipments are handled efficiently. You keep track of schedules, communicate with all parties involved, and maintain an overview throughout the process. If delays or operational issues occur, you act quickly and work towards the right solution while maintaining excellent customer service.

• From start to finish, you'll coordinate and manage ocean imports, including both FCL and LCL shipments.
• By comparing freight rates and negotiating with carriers, you work towards efficient and cost-effective transport solutions.
• Contact with customers, shipping lines, transport providers, and overseas agents is maintained closely, keeping all stakeholders up to date.
• Accurately preparing transport documentation, monitoring Track & Trace updates, and handling invoicing are also part of your responsibilities.
• When operational issues or transport delays arise, you resolve them while ensuring a high level of customer service.

You'll join an international logistics service provider with approximately 75 employees. The company delivers end-to-end logistics solutions for well-known brands in industries including fashion and cosmetics. From its modern office near Schiphol Airport, a freight team of eight colleagues works closely together across ocean, road, and air freight. As an Ocean Import Coordinator, you feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. Your accurate and solution-oriented approach helps you bring every shipment to a successful conclusion.

• You have MBO level working and thinking ability.
• At least 2 years of experience in ocean freight is required.
• Your English language skills are excellent, both spoken and written.
• You have knowledge of ocean import operations, including FCL and LCL shipments.
• Experience working with CargoWise is considered an advantage.
